Mindful Eating Pause Card
A short pause card for adding awareness before or during eating without turning mindfulness into another rule.
Pause prompts
- What am I noticing in my body right now?
- Am I hungry, stressed, tired, rushed, or some mix?
- What would make this meal or snack satisfying enough?
- Is there a small environmental change that would help?
- What is the next kind thing to do after eating?
- Can I observe this without judging it?
How to use the card
Pick one prompt before or during a meal. Do not answer all prompts unless that feels calming.
The pause is meant to create choice. It is not a test, a tracking requirement, or a way to talk yourself out of eating.

FAQ
Is mindful eating a diet?
No. It is an awareness practice, and it should not be used as a disguised restriction rule.
What if pausing makes me more anxious?
Stop using the pause card and choose a less food-focused support, such as a short walk, breathing cue, or professional guidance.
How does Thinner support mindful eating?
Thinner can make one short check-in a quest without requiring detailed food tracking.
